Radio Mirchi celebrates 4 years


The mood at India's hottest radio station, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM is that of excitement and merriment, as the Delhi station kicks off its anniversary celebrations. Launched on April 29, 2003 in the capital, Radio Mirchi today has won the hearts of over 40 lakh listeners in the city, with its creativity, relevant programming and outstanding jocks.

Celebrations were announced with an on air contest 'Baat Baat Mein Mirchi Birthday Movie Tickets'. Listeners can just call in between 8 am and 9 pm on any of the shows, right through the day, and get movie tickets on a first cum first basis and enjoy a special screening of Tara Rum Pum at Satyam on Sunday, in the company of all the Radio Mirchi RJ's.

Radio Mirchi will go live from a unique studio, built in the AIR! on 28th April, the eve of its anniversary. The studio will be built at a height of about 29 feet at Ansal Plaza and will be a first of its kind. Listeners can also re-live some of the best interviews and sparklers of the past one year on the radio station.

ENIL launched its first radio station in the city of Indore in October 2001 and after that in the next one and half years (by May 2003) ENIL launched six other stations. A leader in the private FM radio industry, at present Radio Mirchi is operational in 12 cities i.e. Mumbai (Bombay), Delhi, Kolkata (Calcutta), Chennai (Madras), Indore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur and now Patna and Jalandhar. Shortly, the station will be operational in 20 more cities and in total have 32 radio stations in the country.
